Q. What year was my G&L produced?
  A. The most accurate method of dating a G&L instrument is to remove the neck from the body. Inside the neck pocket of each G&L is the "born date".

In early 2002, we plan to begin construction of a database of instruments which will either be accessible either by this site or www.guitarsbyleo.com, the G&L Enthusiast Site. Before construction begins on this database, however, the instrument Registry at www.guitarsbyleo.com will be changed to return one or more serial numbers close to the number searched for. Therefore, if the number searched for is not in the Registry, the user will get an approximation of when the serial number queried was produced.

For instruments you may also reference the Chronology & Dating  page if you know your G&L was made between 1980 and 1992. There is some information about later chronology on this page as well.
Q. Where can I find a dealer for G&L instruments?
  A. Go to the US Dealers or the International Distributors page or you can obtain a listing of your local G&L dealers by calling our office at (714) 897-6766.
Q. What options are available on G&L instruments?
  A. Your G&L dealer will be able to show you the most current options and retail pricing that are available for the instruments. You may also reference the Options page.
Q. I need a part for my G&L. Where should I get it?
  A. You can obtain some parts through the G&L Online Store. You can order other parts through your local G&L dealer, or by calling our customer service line at (714) 897-6766 extention 116. Not all parts are available for all models and we are currently unable to offer our bodies, necks, or pickups for aftermarket use. We have a limited supply of some older parts available from our Online Store.
Q. I have lost/misplaced the User's Manual. Where can I get a copy?
  A. You will be able to view and print the manual from the following link G&L Manual. This is a PDF file and requires
Adobe's Acobat Reader to view. Download the FREE Adobe Acrobat Reader from the Adobe web site.

Please note that newer models, particularly 4-bolt guitars and 6-bolt basses, do not come with owner's manuals. The manual for earlier models covers how to adjust the micro-tilt neck feature no longer used on 4-bolt and 6-bolt models. Other aspects of the manual, such as pickup height adjustment, still apply to newer models.
Q. Where can I find schematics for G&L instruments?
  A. You will be able to view and print various schematics from the following link Schematics.
Q. Where can I discuss G&L instruments with other G&L instrument owners?
  A. Check out the Guitars by Leo G&L Tribute Page website located at www.guitarsbyleo.com
