Scott Tarulli is the kind of guitarist that guitar companies love to be associated with. He's one of those players who may not be a household name yet, but is a true guitarist's guitarist.
Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Scott is an Associate Professor at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. "Absolutely nothing came easy to me in music. As a result, I base my teaching around my students and help them to become problem-solvers," Scott recently told berklee.edu. "When they leave Berklee, my hope is that they're able to do things on their own and not be paint-by-number players."
As you probably already know, Berklee is well-know for hiring working musicians, and as an in-demand guitarist/producer, Scott is a perfect example. His resume includes performances with Peter Eldridge, Steve Gadd, Abe Laboriel, Jacob Luttrell and Meatloaf. He performed with the Black Eyed Peas and Kelly Clarkson at the 2004 Super Bowl and Earth Wind & Fire, Alicia Keys and Lionel Richie at the 2008 Super Bowl.
But perhaps most impressive are Scott's critically acclaimed solo projects. He is currently working on his third studio album with the Scott Tarulli Group, which features performances by Steve Lukather, Tony Levin, Jerry Marotta and Mindi Abair. His original material is a mostly instrumental blend of funk, rock, blues, and jazz influences, combined to create inventive harmonies and a unique sense of groove.
Scott's cache of G&L instruments includes an ASAT® Classic, Legacy™, and Legacy™ Special. (And yes, he plays left-handed.) We are thrilled to have Scott as part of the G&L family. Visit www.scotttarulli.com for more info.
